Overview

Nestled just south of downtown Columbus is one of the most charming neighborhoods anywhere —German Village. Brick lined streets, gas lanterns, and some of the most inspiring historical homes will surround you when you stay in this 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage.

Dog friendly on a case by case basis with a $35 per dog per night pet fee capped at $200 per month. Pet fee will be added to your stay the day of check in and is not included in your original booking price.

Access:

You will have access to the entire property.

Space:

This property is rare in German Village. We offer a private backyard with a large patio and dining table. Pull your vehicle into a two car garage and avoid searching for parking.

The first floor greets you with our fully stocked kitchen, complete with gas range oven, coffee maker with all the fixings, dishwasher, full fridge, and everything you will need to cook at home. The home's only full bath, which includes a tub and shower combo, is just off the kitchen on the first floor.

To the left of the kitchen is a living room where you'll find our modem/router combo with blazing fast wifi with download speeds of up to 200 mbps! We've got plenty of seating so you and your small party can find their favorite place to chill out.

Just off the living room is a dining table with enough seating for 6 people.

Head upstairs and find the two most charming bedrooms to the left and right. Exposed beams and an oversized chandelier make these two bedrooms worthy of an Instagram shot!

Our bedrooms each include a queen size bed, 2 pillows per person, a bench, mirrors, and two end tables with lamps.

And yes! You have access to the basement where you'll find newer washer and dryer units that you're welcome to use.

If charm, coziness, and staying near everything Columbus has to offer is on your list of "must haves" you've gotta stay here!

Neighborhood:

The laid-back German Village is known for charming brick houses built by 19th-century immigrants along Beck, Mohawk, and Deshler streets. Shops selling books, traditional fudge, and handmade jewelry mingle with art galleries, German pubs, American bistros, and artisan coffee shops. In summer, the Actors’ Theatre Columbus stages outdoor Shakespeare and other plays in Schiller Park with its fountains and flower beds.

Transit:

The easiest way to get around to other parts of Columbus is via your car, Uber, or Lyft. If the weather is nice try a Lime scooter! They're super fun!

German Village is a very walkable neighborhood. If you're not going far and the weather is nice, we absolutely recommend walking the neighborhood and checking out all the amazing historical homes.

Interaction:

We are local to the area. While we try to anticipate your needs we are available to answer any questions you might have.

Notes:

Please note, the two bedrooms are on the second floor. Everything else is on the first floor, including the only bathroom, which is right off the kitchen.

This home is old —like all homes in German Village! The stairs up to the second floor are steeper than more modern stairs.

The ice maker in the freezer is *not* hooked up. We provide an ice tray for you instead.
