Access:

You'll have access to the entire townhome except for one closet that we will have locked off for our supplies.

Space:

This all brick German Village townhome is quite spacious and close to everything Downtown Columbus has to offer!

We offer central air throughout the first and second floors. The third floor is cooled off via window units.

The first floor flows from front door to our living space, complete with a three seater sofa and two single upholstered chairs flanking a fireplace. This fireplace is not to be used —only to be enjoyed visually. :)

We offer fast Wifi. Our smart TV offers most of the streaming apps you're used to enjoying. We've logged into our Netflix account for you —feel free to log into any other streaming services you prefer. We do not offer cable.

From the living room you will walk into our dining room complete with a dining table and 6 chairs.

There is a door to the cellar is off the dining area. We have a washer and a dryer in the cellar that can be offered up for your use on a case by case basis.

At the back of the home is a large kitchen that has all of the utensils you will need to reheat a meal from a nearby restaurant —we love Lindey's! Or, prepare your own meal as you see fit. There is a very small brick patio off the kitchen.

Before you head upstairs you'll find a half bath at the foot of the stairs, just off the dining room.

Head upstairs to the second floor and find two bedrooms each with a queen size bed. Our mattress are gel memory foam mattresses —guests love them! Each bedroom has a decent size closet with hangers. One of the bedrooms has a full size mirror, iron, and ironing board for you to use.

The home's only full bathroom is between the two bedrooms. We offer shampoo, conditioner, and body wash as well as hand soap, blow dryer, and a small basket of commonly forgotten items! We will also provide you with towels, bath tissue, and any other comforts you would find at a hotel.

Head on up to the third floor to find a full size bunk bed, small sofa, coffee table, and smart TV. The third floor is cooled with window units. This space is, again, only accessible via the back second floor bedroom.

Neighborhood:

The laid-back German Village is known for charming brick houses built by 19th-century immigrants along Beck, Mohawk, and Deshler streets. Shops selling books, traditional fudge, and handmade jewelry mingle with art galleries, German pubs, American bistros, and artisan coffee shops. In summer, the Actors’ Theatre Columbus stages outdoor Shakespeare and other plays in Schiller Park with its fountains and flower beds.

Transit:

The easiest way to get around to other parts of Columbus is via your car, Uber, or Lyft. If the weather is nice try a Lime scooter! They're super fun!

German Village is a very walkable neighborhood. If you're not going far and the weather is nice, we absolutely recommend walking the neighborhood and checking out all the amazing historical homes.

Interaction:

We are local to the area. While we try to anticipate your needs we are available via the Airbnb app to answer any questions you might have.

Notes:

Access to the third floor, where the bunk bed and additional queen beds are located, is only accessible via the back bedroom. Guests will need to pass through this bedroom to get to the third floor.

There is no off-street parking at this property. We do provide you with one permit tag to hang from your rearview mirror during your stay with us. This will allow you to park on the street right in front of the property. There is non-permitted parking nearby, but it is a 3-7 minutes walk depending on availability.

We do not offer cable. We offer high speed Wifi and Netflix via our Smart TV.

We do have a washer and dryer available for your use in the cellar. The cellar is just that —a cellar. We keep it as clean and tidy as we can.

This townhome was built in the late 1890s. The doors and floorboards are all original. Stairs can be steep. Please, only stay if you love older homes.
