Space:

Brick streets, friendly neighbors, and some of the most delicious local restaurants are just steps away from your front door.

Please note, all bedrooms are on the second and third floor. There is a half bath on the first floor but the only full bathroom is on the second floor.

Please note: there is NO off-street parking. We provide one permit for on-street parking. 99.9% of the time parking on the street in front of the home (and up and down a block) is available. If you have more than one car coming with your reservation, the second car will need to park further away in a non-permitted, free parking spot several blocks away.

We offer central air throughout the first and second floor. The third floor is cooled via air conditioning units.

The first floor flows from front door to our living space, complete with a three seater sofa and two single upholstered chairs flanking a fireplace. This fireplace is not to be used —only to be enjoyed visually. :)

We offer fast Wifi. Our smart TV offers most of the streaming apps you're used to enjoying. We've logged into our Netflix and Disney + account for you —feel free to log into any other streaming services you prefer. We do not offer cable.

From the living room you will walk into our dining room complete with a dining table and 6 chairs. There is a stacked washer and dryer unit in a closet off to the side.

At the back of the home is a large kitchen that has all of the utensils you will need to reheat a meal from a nearby restaurant —we love Lindey's! Or, prepare your own meal as you see fit. There is a very small brick patio off the kitchen with a small outdoor seating space so you can enjoy quiet German Village mornings.

Before you head upstairs you'll find a half bath at the foot of the stairs, just off the dining room.

Head upstairs to the second floor and find two bedrooms each with a queen size bed. Our mattress are gel memory foam mattresses —guests love them! Each bedroom has a decent size closet with hangers. One of the bedrooms has a full size mirror, iron, and ironing board for you to use.

The home's only full bathroom is between the two bedrooms on the second floor. We offer shampoo, conditioner, and body wash as well as hand soap, blow dryer, and a small basket of commonly forgotten items! We will also provide you with towels, bath tissue, and any other comforts you would find at a hotel.

*Through the back bedroom* is access to the third floor where you will find our Queen size bunk beds and a single Queen bed. There is also a small sofa, coffee table, and TV on the third floor. Again, the only access to the third floor is through the back bedroom on the second floor.

Neighborhood:

The laid-back German Village is known for charming brick houses built by 19th-century immigrants along Beck, Mohawk, and Deshler streets. Shops selling books, traditional fudge, and handmade jewelry mingle with art galleries, German pubs, American bistros, and artisan coffee shops. In summer, the Actors’ Theatre Columbus stages outdoor Shakespeare and other plays in Schiller Park with its fountains and flower beds.

Transit:

The easiest way to get around to other parts of Columbus is via your car, Uber, or Lyft. If the weather is nice try a Lime scooter! They're super fun!

German Village is a very walkable neighborhood. If you're not going far and the weather is nice, we absolutely recommend walking the neighborhood and checking out all the amazing historical homes.

Interaction:

We are incredibly responsive via the Airbnb app messaging system 7-days a week, 9am ET - 8pm ET. We are slower to respond in the evenings as we do spend time with our family. We do not live far from the property in the rare opportunity you need someone on-site for non-emergency reasons. That being said, this is not a hotel and there is no front desk. We do our best to address all concerns as soon as possible, but we do not live on-site 24/7.
